The Chinese enter IoT, Shenzhen company launches production line monitoring app

This may be perhaps the first foray into the Internet of Things by a Chinese major. The Nasdaq listed China Information Technology, Inc., a provider of integrated Cloud-based solutions in digital education, smart family and other solutions, today announced that it had “successfully” produced such an IOT based application, deployed first in Shenzhen, China.

The world’s first proven Internet of Things (IoT)-based cyberattack has been recorded, involving conventional household “smart” appliances. The global attack campaign involved more than 750,000 malicious email communications coming from over 100,000 everyday consumer gadgets such as home-networking routers, connected multi-media centers, televisions and at least one refrigerator.
