Blackberry Opens IoT Centre of Excellence In India

The Canadian software developer BlackBerry has inaugurated the BlackBerry IoT Center of Excellence, Engineering and Innovation in Hyderabad, India.

This center, the second largest for the company’s IoT division globally, is currently operational and is expected to expand its workforce to accommodate 120 employees within the next year.

With a global headcount of 850, the India CoE will focus on developing mission-critical embedded software for IoT industries, including software-defined vehicles, medical technology, industrial control systems, and robotics. BlackBerry’s IoT president, Mattias Eriksson, highlighted the significance of the Indian market for automotive and other IoT sectors.
