Smart cities pilot announced

smart cities project

The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has invited interested parties to take part in the OGC’s 3D IoT Platform for Smart Cities Pilot

The smart cities project, sponsored by the Korea Land and Housing (LH) Corporation which is leading the Sejong Smart City Initiative, aims to advance the use of open standards for integrating environmental, building, and the Internet of Things (IoT) data in such cities.

According to an announcement on the OGC Website, the Pilot will focus on two scenarios: real-time monitoring of indoor occupancy; and real-time monitoring of micro-dust air pollutants.

This smart cities project is being conducted under OGC’s Innovation Program, the research and development (R&D) laboratory of OGC.

While any interested party is encouraged to apply to participate, an active OGC membership is required at the time of participation. By becoming an OGC member you will contribute to shaping a world in which everyone benefits from the use of geospatial information and supporting technologies.

To learn more about this, go to the OGC 3D IoT Platform for Smart Cities Pilot Initiative Webpage or contact techdesk@opengeospatial.org.
