Reliance Jio IoT to go commercial by 2020

India’s Internet & cellular telephony co Reliance Jio has said it’s Internet of Things (IoT) network would be commercially available from January 2020.

According to a report in moneycontrol.com, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said that Jio now had over 340 million subscribers. It was now ready to go ahead with four new growth engines including Reliance Jio IoT for the entire country, home and Enterprise broadband services as well as broadband for SMEs.

“Revenue from each of these engines will kick in this fiscal itself,” Reliance Industries’ Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said addressing the 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) here.

Jio aims to connect 1 billion homes via the IoT platform.
