Wanting to take a lead in the APAC region, KPMG Australia has launched an Internet of Things (IoT) practise. It will be headed by Piers Hogarth-Scott.

Speaking to some sections of the Australian media, the new chief said it was time to turn the IoT buzzword into something more tangible.

The KPMG practice will focus on three sectors — smart cities, smart campus (education) and smart agriculture.

Piers told ChannelLife Australia that KPMG forecasts Australia has the opportunity to derive more than $120 billion in additional economic activity from the IoT over the next 10 years.
