Etisalat signs up with ThingWorx to deploy the latter’s IoT development platform

Exton, Jul 22, 2015: ThingWorx, a well-known Internet of Things (IoT) platform provider, has said that Etisalat, a telecommunications provider operating in the Middle-East, Africa and Asia, had signed a Group Framework Agreement in order to deploy the “industry leading” ‘ThingWorx IoT Development Platform’ to enable innovative IoT and M2M services throughout the regions it served.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Etisalat was one of the world’s fastest-growing telecom groups, rapidly expanding across Asia and Africa. Born in the Middle East about four decades ago, Etisalat played a leading role in the telecommunications sector for Internet, voice, broadcast, roaming and corporate data services. By partnering with ThingWorx, Etisalat said it would be able to offer its customers a large IoT application catalogue to cover a variety of market needs such as Smart City requirements.
