D-Link (India) Limited, part of D-Link Corporation, has launched its product line of Connected Home Solution comprising Wi Fi Smart Plug, Motion Sensor, Audio Extender and apps to connect them and get them “talking” to each other.

The company said in a release that D-Link Connected Home solution was designed to bring the flexibility of mydlink to everyday household electronic devices. These compact and easy-to-use Wi Fi devices based on IoT technology will allow users to monitor and control their home’s electronic devices from anywhere.

Using the free mydlink app for iOS and Android smartphones and Tablets, users could set power on/off schedules, turn devices on/off remotely, send an alert when motion was detected, monitor energy usage at home even while away, among other things. Broadly speaking, D-Link Connected Home products work together to get the home talking.

“There has been a paradigm shift in technology landscape with machine-to-machine communication becoming a reality. Internet of Things is set to redefine our future, as it holds the potential to transform the way we live and work today,” said Tushar Sighat, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer, D-Link (India) Ltd.

Wi-Fi Smart Plug: Known as the DSP-W215, the Wi Fi Smart Plug plugs into a standard electrical outlet where one can then connect a device (Iron, Washing Machine, Air conditioner etc.) and take control of it using mydlink free app available for smartphones and Tablets.

Motion Sensor: DCH-S150 or W Fi Motion Sensor has been designed keeping the home in mind. Simply place the D-Link Wi-Fi Motion Sensor near high-movement areas at home like front door, and get push or text notifications on phone when any motion is detected through mydlink free app. It works great with mydlink Wi-Fi Camera, as one can instantly see what it is that’s moving at home.
