Funding platform Optus-Innov8 Seed, in collaboration with Vivid Ideas, will present ‘Internet of Things – Electric Dreams to Digital Reality’, an event that will bring together local and international perspectives on the rapidly evolving Internet of Things (IoT) space, on June 4 in Sydney, Australia. Vivid Ideas is the Asia Pacific’s annual event of innovation, creativity and community: building audiences and markets for the creative industries, and offering professional development opportunities across the sector.
This event will showcase some of Australia’s leading startups, including Ninja Blocks, LIFX and MooresCloud, who will share their insights from design concept & funding, through to manufacture and marketing.
Speakers will provide a global perspective on the IoT landscape. The event will culminate in a pitchfest where some of Australia’s emerging startups in the space will have a chance to pitch their concepts to a panel of investors and guest judges. Attendees will get a primer on the emerging IoT space, insights from leading local and global players, and an early look at some new Australian startups before they hit the market.
Optus-Innov8 Seed is a collaboration between Australian telecommunications provider 
Optus and the SingTel Group’s corporate venture capital fund SingTel Innov8 that brings together funding and resources for Australian tech startups.
Optus-Innov8 Seed has also announced that it would be capping off the event with a Pitchfest and inviting six Aussie IoT startups to pitch for a cash prize of US $2000 cash prize
Australian IoT startups who have a working prototype but yet to receive venture capital funding can submit a 60 second video to us at @optusinnov8seed.com.au by May 13.
