A new primer on what exactly is the Internet of Things (IoT) and the roadmap ahead has been put out by Ericsson. In Ericsson’s Mobility Report June 2019, it is forecast that there will be 4.1 billion connections by the year 2024. The estimated revenue from the IoT and 5G industry digitalization is US $619 billion by 2026.
