The #2015CES kicks off today: Catch up with our special coverage

It is billed as the biggest electronics show on earth, and it starts today. The show floor may not open until Tuesday, but today, Jan. 5, 2015, the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) 2015 CES starts off with a jam-packed schedule of keynotes, events and of course, the official CES opening party.

Major products by leading companies shall be showcased at the 2015 CES Press Day, open exclusively to registered media and industry analysts. The CES Conference Program also begins today. It will cover topics like entertainment and tech, disruptive technology, mobile content, startups and more.

The 2015 CES, APPNATION VI will take place at The Cosmopolitan on January 5 and 6. This two-day event, claim the organisers, is the largest of its kind in North America, focused exclusively on the business of apps and the broader consumer app economy. The mission of APPNATION is to help app developers of all shapes and sizes build great businesses through inspiring conferences, topical roundtable discussions and deep-dive workshops that deliver actionable advice and best practices.

Also scheduled for Monday are two keynotes from industry leaders – Boo-Keun Yoon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics, and Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman, Board of Management/Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, will talk about autonomous vehicle technology and its impact on society, mobility and environment.
