Tech co Machfu launches gateway device for Industrial Internet of Things

machfu1Machfu an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology company based in US, today announced the release of the MACH-2 IIoT Gateway, a device allowing companies in energy and other industries to connect existing infrastructure to the IoT.

Unveiled at the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel’s (SGIP) 2016 Grid Modernization Summit, the MACH-2 IIoT Gateway is tailored for energy companies and works within their existing systems.

“The MACH-2 IIoT Gateway allows companies to gather secure data from legacy infrastructure in an elegant and straightforward manner, enabling them to make informed, strategic business decisions in ways that would previously require enormous financial and time investments,” said Machfu Chief Executive Officer Prakash Chakravarthi, in a press release.

The MACH-2 IIoT Gateway is designed for critical energy infrastructure and industrial applications. The product simplifies connecting and managing devices and provides a secure application framework to process and manage the growing volume of edge data.  The product enables organisations to access data from existing infrastructure, such as sensors, controllers or smart grid assets on third party Sites or remote locations, by providing secure wireless and wired connectivity.

Using the MACH-2 IIoT Gateway, enterprises can create and rapidly integrate “edge applications” to existing infrastructure and emerging Web-based industrial IoT applications. This equips companies with the data to gain insights from diverse sources for business, process improvement and new business models. The resulting IIoT solutions decrease time to action, enables horizontal access to data and consolidated network infrastructure while minimising disruption and risk to existing automation systems.

Machfu simplifies the complex landscape of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) by easily connecting data at the edge to IoT databases in the cloud for business analytics. Machfu grew out of a simple idea: that developing and maintaining applications in the industrial IoT world should be as easy as it is in the desktop world or the smartphone world.
