SIGFOX chosen tech pioneer by World Economic Forum

SIGFOX, the world’s leading provider of global communications service for the Internet of Things (IoT), was awarded as one of the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers, a selection of the world’s most innovative companies.

SIGFOX, whose network now extends to 20 countries and all continents, provides simple, reliable, energy-efficient, cost-effective connectivity for objects that communicate small messages to the cloud, for smart cities, smart buildings, asset tracking, transportation, energy and water conservation and multiple other applications.

SIGFOX was chosen by a professional jury among hundreds of candidates as one of the 30 selected companies. Thanks to its selection, it will have access to an influential and sought-after business and political network worldwide. As many Technology Pioneers, Ludovic Le Moan, CEO of SIGFOX, will be invited to participate in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2017 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

“We welcome SIGFOX in this group of extraordinary pioneers,” said Fulvia Montresor, Head of Technology Pioneers at the World Economic Forum. “SIGFOX is among those companies that help shape the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work and relate to one another. Through the platform of the World Economic Forum, it will be able to scale and share its technology and achieve a larger impact.”

“The Technology Pioneer award from the World Economic Forum is a special honor that underscores SIGFOX’s worldwide leadership in establishing the Internet of Things,” Le Moan said. “It recognises our company’s unique vision, execution and dedication to providing long-range, two-way connectivity through a seamless global network that will be in 30 countries by year-end.”
