The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry and MIMOS Bhd have launched the National Internet of Things (IoT) roadmap to accelerate the adoption of IoT in Malaysia.
In a statement , International Data Corp (IDC) said the roadmap would play an “important role” to foster mutual support and coordination among various technological players to leverage on existing solutions and develop end-to-end IoT solutions. IDC said the initiative brought together over 40 organisations from different verticals and technological areas to drive IoT adoption in Malaysia.
At the launch, a memorandum of understanding was signed by MIMOS, Cyberview, SAS Institute, and Cyber Security for a Smart City IoT trial show, one of the early IoT implementation initiatives as a result of the collaboration.
