Qualcomm launches Snapdragon X35 and 32 5G Modem

San Diego, California, Feb. 9, 2023: – Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a leading global provider of mobile technology, today announced the launch of its latest Snapdragon X35 5G mobile platform. The platform promises to bring lightning-fast 5G connectivity, enhanced performance and power efficiency, and advanced multimedia capabilities to consumers.

It contains a new technology called 5G NR-Light, or reduced capability. Qualcomm says that downlink speeds will top out at around 220Mbps and uplink of around 100Mbps.

The Snapdragon X35 is built on the latest 7nm process technology and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem. This enables it to support both sub-6GHz and millimeter wave 5G networks, delivering fast download and upload speeds and low latency, perfect for enhanced mobile experiences like Cloud gaming and VR.

According to the manufacturer, NR-Light devices with Snapdragon X35 processors can be more affordable, smaller, and have longer battery lives than conventional mobile broadband devices. Along with support for all Sub-6GHz FDD and TDD spectrum bands, the Snapdragon X35 also offers dual-frequency GNSS (L1+L5) for precise positioning.

Additionally, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon X32 5G Modem-RF System, a modem-to-antenna system designed to simplify and power affordable NR-Light devices.
