Electronics co LittleBits introduces module to help make DiY IoT devices

littlebitsOpen source, New York, USA-based consumer electronics company LittleBits Electronics has introduced the CloudBit, a module that will now allow users to make Do-It-Yourself device/gadget connected to the Internet.

The module is made up of a small ARM chip, 64MB of RAM, and a USB Wi-Fi adapter. When you use it with other Littlebits pieces, the CloudBit lets you make devices you can control over the Web, either with the company’s own app or the popular service IFTTT.

The bundle also has 5 other favorite prototyping modules; everything you need to create internet-connected devices in seconds.

LittleBits is selling its CloudBit as a standalone module for US $59, or in a $99 Cloud Starter Bundle that includes six modules and instructions for five different beginner projects.
