Microsoft takes one more step in the IoT Plug and Play gameplan

Microsoft has announced that it’s ‘IoT Plug and Play’ now offers an open modeling language to connect the Internet of Things (IoT) devices seamlessly to the Cloud.

Microsoft Azure IoT Plug and Play was among the many Cloud advances that the IT major showcases at its annual Build conference in Seattle, USA on Monday.

“With IoT Plug and Play, developers can connect IoT devices to the Cloud without having to write a single line of embedded code,” wrote Corporate Vice President for Microsoft Azure Julia White, in a blog post. “IoT Plug and Play also enables device manufactures to build smarter IoT devices that just work with the cloud.”

For some years now, Microsoft is emphasing  on  the seamless integration of solutions without the need to add any additional software. This plug and play concept, say experts, will help fasten the development of IoT solutions. There’s even an Microsoft Azure certified IoT devices catalogue for IoT starter’s kit, etc.

What’s more, IoT Edge now integrates with Google’s open source container orchestration framework, Kubernetes.  Kubernetes integration is in preview, and the new Azure IoT Central features are available for select customer trials.
