With a focus on technology startups who are developing innovative Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for the AgriTech, CleanTech, CivicTech and HealthTech sectors, India’s CIIE, in partnership with CISCO has announced the first ever IoT Innovation Accelerator programme.
The IoT Accelerator aims to identify and support early-stage startups that “are going beyond the current status quo and solving intractable problems”.
The startups that will be looked at include those that solve real and critical problem(s) in the named industries, have early validation on their solution through pilot customers, retention, referrals and similar metrics, feature strong teams with complementary skill sets and founders working full-time.
The program benefits include pilot opportunities with partner organisations, service partners for Cloud, marketing & other support worth over Rs 20 lakhs, extensive visibility through CIIE platforms and networks, portfolio support up to a year providing market, channel and investor connects, and catalytic capital of Rs 17.50 lakhs (approx USD 25,000) to 10 top start-ups.
CIIE will also consider seed-funding up to Rs 70 lakhs in 2 startups.
