Russia has reportedly “successfully tested” in “unplugged” Internet.
According to a news report by the BBC, a communication by the Russian Ministry of Communications said the users did not even notice the switch-over.
The initiative involves restricting the points at which Russia’s version of the net connects to its global counterpart, giving the government more control over what its citizens can access, the report added.
