HFCL, an Indian telecom infrastructure company, has teamed up with Microsoft to develop private 5G solutions that incorporate IoT, Cloud, Edge computing, AI, and analytics technologies. According to a report by CNBCTV18, HFCL has already deployed an Industry 4.0 Private 5G solution at its optical fiber manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, India which uses Microsoft Azure public MEC and HFCL 5G Indoor Small Cell. This pilot program enables real-time fiber defect detection along the fiber production line using video analytics and image processing.
