Fujitsu has announced the market readiness of what it says is its “game changing” Internet of Things (IoT) Edgeware management platform for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region.
Edgeware provides the link between automated identification technology and enterprise applications and Fujitsu says it is particularly suited for organisations in sectors such as Public Safety, monitoring of sensitive cargo such as chemicals and explosives, cold storage transport and food distribution, public utilities, IT Asset Management, mining and oil & gas, among others.
According to the company, Edgeware provides the link between automated identification technology and enterprise applications and is particularly suited for manufacturing whether improvements in real time process automation, better real time inventory tracking, among others.
Edgeware also translates raw tag data from fixed or mobile devices into relevant business contexts (intelligence) that can transact activity and automatically integrate to back-end systems, without the need to change enterprise or supply chain systems.
