Dubai will host the 2015 Internet of Things World Forum (IOTWF). Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Cisco John Chambers announced this in his closing session at this year’s IOTWF in Chicago, USA, which concluded recently.
A statement by Cisco said Dubai was selected as next year’s host to align with Dubai’s Smart City Vision which has already started transforming the government and citizen services in the state, putting the emirate at the forefront of innovation across a wide array of IoT/M2M services. As more people, processes, data and things become connected, these interactions become more relevant and valuable than ever before, enhancing and supporting the technology vision of forward-looking organisations such as the Dubai Government, said Cisco.
