An industry analysis predicts that China’s Internet of Things (IoT) market will experience rapid growth in the upcoming years and that by 2026, there will be close to 10.25 billion IoT connections there.
According to a survey by international market research firm International Data Corporation(IDC), the consumer sector will account for the majority of these connections, with the smart home and wearable devices industries continuing to be the main growth drivers (IDC).
By 2026, there will be roughly 5.98 billion IoT connections related to consumption, and there will be about 300 million and 2.2 billion connections related to production and public facilities, respectively, according to the report.
