2016 – Here are some of the predictions for Internet of Things

2015 is nearing the end. Our editorial team decided to take a quick look around at some of the predictions that are being made for the Internet of Things (IoT) for 2016.

2016 IoT predictionsHere are some of them:

A report in ZDNet said Amazon was getting all ready to flex its IoT and artificial intelligence muscle in 2016. Amazon was already generating interest and social buzz with its front-end IoT and smart home products like Echo and Dash.

InfoWorld, on the other hand, has said next year, the IoT will be the main driver of API infrastructure growth.

A writer in eWeek is convinced that in 2016, it’s not a matter of “if,” but “how,” companies are using M2M to transform their businesses. Based on an interview with Andrew Morawski, head of M2M for the Americas at Vodafone, the publication has offered six predictions for the M2M market in 2016 and beyond.

Website Tech.co, offering four predictions for the IoT for next year, has said IoT will become a “household” name next year, even as businesses embrace data with vigour.
